Banhu Strings
Banhu strings are not erhu strings in another gauge: they are made for the tuning of a particular opera style. Pingju, bangzi and yuju each sit at a different pitch, which is why the Xinghai strings are stocked as separate inner and outer strings for each style, with a heavier pair again for the large banhu. The silver Xinghai string and the Lin's Culture banhu string feel different under the finger, and one session with each tells you which one you want to stay with. Two facts settle any order, so send them over LINE at @linsculture: the style you play, and whether you need the inner or the outer string.
