Liu Jiajia is vice president of the Jilin Province Guzheng Society, president of the Jilin City Guzheng Society, a grading examiner for the China Musicians Association, head of the literature and arts department of the Jilin City Mass Art Center, and an associate research librarian. She studied under the Chinese guzheng educators and performers Professor He Baoquan and Professor Sun Wenyan, and has taught guzheng for 20 years. She won second prize in the professional guzheng category at the first China-Japan-Korea International Guzheng Invitational; for many consecutive years won first prize in the professional guzheng category at the talent competition hosted by the Jilin Province Department of Culture; and won the Work Prize at the 4th, 5th, and 6th Jilin City Songhua Lake Literature and Arts Awards. Over the years, many of the students she has taught have been admitted to the guzheng performance and musicology programs of various conservatories.
